Associate Lawyer - Energy & Infrastructure

Our client is a leading global law firm. They are highly recognized as having one of the leading energy transactional practices in the country.

Our client is now actively seeking to a talented mid to senior level Energy and Infrastructure Associate to their team of highly talented professionals in their Calgary office.

As part of the Energy and Infrastructure team, the successful candidate will have broad exposure to a full range of legal issues faced by energy and infrastructure clients, including: acquisitions and divestitures, project development, public and private M&A, transactional work for the oil and gas upstream, midstream and downstream sectors, renewables, electricity and energy transition work (including CCUS, energy storage and hydrogen), operational and commercial matters, and co-venture arrangements such as partnerships and joint ventures.

Qualifications and Attributes:

• Willingness to take initiative
• Strong analytical, communication and drafting skills
• Team orientated
• Strong organizational abilities,
• Client service orientated with excellent interpersonal skills
• A minimum of 3 to 8 years' experience advising clients in a broad range of energy related transactional and commercial matters in private practice or a combined private practice and in-house environment.
• Canadian qualified
