About Our Client

Our client is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist with a strong background in residential construction to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating architectural designs and technical drawings for residential projects, ensuring they are compliant with relevant building codes and regulations. They will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure projects are delivered to high standards and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that project deadlines are met and that work is completed to high standards.
• Work with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient project delivery.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure projects are delivered to high standards and within budget.
• Ensure that designs and drawings are compliant with relevant building codes and regulations.
• Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Develop and coordinate architectural designs and technical drawings for residential projects, including construction details, elevations, and floor plans.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction is proceeding according to plans and specifications.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Alberta building codes and regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in architecture, engineering, or related field.
• Strong technical skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or SketchUp
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• At least 5 years of experience in residential construction and architectural design in Alberta or BC
• Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
