  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or other software used to store, manipulate and analyze environmental data
  • Degree in Biology, Fisheries, Ecology, Environmental Science or Natural Resources, or an equivalent combination of education and expierence may be considered.

Reporting to the Fisheries Science and Fish Culture Section manager, the Aquatic Biologist is responsible for conducting environmental reviews of proposed developments and implementing monitoring programs for aquatic invasive species, fish habitat and fish disease. The Aquatic Biologist will play a key role in implementing a wild fish surveillance program for reportable and non-reportable fish pathogens. This position is responsible for supporting the Branch’s partnerships with the federal government and other jurisdictions to manage Aquatic Invasive Species, fish habitat, fish health and other fisheries matters.
