Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer with 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in mobile app development. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Kotlin and have a strong background in implementing the MVVM (Model-View-ViewModel) architecture. As an Android Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, Android applications that deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, user stories, and design specifications.

Design, develop, test, and maintain cutting-edge Android applications using Kotlin and the MVVM architecture.

Translate UI/UX designs into responsive, high-performance code while ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.

Optimize application performance and responsiveness, addressing bottlenecks, and ensuring smooth animations and transitions.

Identify and troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and bottlenecks, and provide effective solutions.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality features within scheduled timelines.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in Android development.

Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

4+ years of professional Android development experience, with a proven track record of delivering successful apps to the Play Store.

Strong proficiency in Kotlin programming language.

Extensive experience implementing the MVVM architecture and working with associated libraries (e.g., LiveData, ViewModel).

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design principles.

Proficiency in consuming RESTful APIs and integrating third-party libraries and APIs.

Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.

Familiarity with design patterns, architectural patterns, and best practices in Android development.

Knowledge of unit testing and UI testing frameworks for Android applications.

Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Experience with agile development methodologies is a plus.

Published apps on the Play Store and contributions to open-source projects are advantageous.

Must have:

Implement offline capabilities to ensure the app functions seamlessly in offline mode

Proficiency in data structures and algorithms to optimize application performance

Knowledge of Android Jetpack Compose for UI development.

Adherence to SOLID principles for robust and maintainable code.

Familiarity with Dependency Injection (DI) is a plus.

Familiarity with Network Libraries.

Optional note on Test-Driven Development (TDD) approach.
