Job Description


The Group Retirement Services & Investments’ (GRSI) team provides clear focus, leadership and drives profitable growth within our Group Capital Accumulation Plans (GCAP), Investment Only (IO), and Pension Risk Transfer (PRT) businesses. There are growing demands in our marketplace and this new team is responsible for ensuring the right offerings are being developed and delivered.


We are looking for bright and passionate people to be founding members GRSI’s Initiatives team. Do you have a passion for creating compelling and meaningful customer experiences? Are you a creative problem-solver with the ability to convey the power of data through easy-on-the-eye visualizations? As a Data Analyst, you will utilize your strong technical skillset, problem solving and continuous learning mindset to support GRSI in improving our business intelligence, elevating our customer and management reporting as well as use data to drive internal efficiencies. You will use your creativity to drive growth and propel descriptive and predictive data analytics.


What You Will Do


  • Deliver on customer promises. Liaise with Business Development and Operations to develop and deploy key customer reporting, insights and benchmarking.
  • Data retrieval. Gather data (millions of records & thousands of variables) from various systems via multiple languages.
  • Data analysis. Explore trends and data relationships that bring insight and value to our business.
  • Data visualization. Create dynamic dashboards and reports for consumption by various audiences.
  • Data preparation. Clean, transform and model data with a goal of driving insights for our business and our customers.


What You Will Bring


  • Comfort in ambiguity with creative clarity
  • Post-secondary education in one of the following disciplines: Statistics, Actuarial, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering or Business Administration
  • Learning mindset with teaching aptitude
  • Communication with plain language
  • Strategic thinking with tactical implementation
  • Expertise with PowerBI and/or Tableau with demonstrated experience at creating interactive dashboards
  • Data technique with data visualization
  • Analysis with ideas
  • GRS and/or wealth management experience and knowledge
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Results-orientation with customer-first focus
  • Problem-solving prescriptions with insightful predictions
  • Versatile user of a variety of mathematical packages with a mix of proficiency across R, Python, SQL, VBA
  • Passion with compassion
  • Self-motivation with thirst for collaboration
