Job Description

We are looking for an organized and passionate Market Research Intern to join our impact-driven team at BridgingTheGap Ventures. This position will leverage AI to analyze qualitative data, trends, strategies, and competition aiming at increasing the competitiveness and effectiveness of our global youth programs.


This position is for a Canadian internship program to be eligible you must be a student registered for fall 2023 and a Canadian citizen or permanent resident


The candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The candidate will be a proactive, strong communicator able to work—and thrive—in a fluid, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize online market research and catalogue findings to databases
  • Plan and/or assist with the facilitation of in-person and virtual programming (i.e. workshops, fireside chats, interactive panels, breakout sessions, festivals, etc.)
  • Create, maintain and optimize digital event forms (i.e. applications, session proposals, speaker details, feedback, etc.) for data collection
  • Explore the use of AI tools, develop prompts to organize, interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques
  • Communicate with partners and speakers to receive and provide logistical information in a timely manner
  • Maintain digital contact records (i.e. Google Sheets, HubSpot, etc.) of partner relationships as well as stay organized and on track with partnership-related tasks using project management software (Asana)
  • Report on event analytics and utilize data to inform decisions and future event strategies
  • Research global affairs and key decision-makers to assist BridgingTheGap’s marketing team with relationship management (i.e. speaker/guest backgrounds, LinkedIn administration) as well as insights for networking
  • Assist with ad hoc project coordination and research duties
  • Maintain spreadsheets and other collected information for present and future utilization
  • Prepare briefing notes, talking points and presentation slides for meetings and events
  • Work closely with the BridgingTheGap team to strategize and gather feedback, as well as contribute to larger organizational goals
  • Schedule events based on topic needs, capacity and existing schedules of the BridgingTheGap team as well as external stakeholders
  • Research global partners, speakers and programming topics that align with BridgingTheGap’s brand, values and subject matter
  • Stay up-to-date on thematic topics, demographic trends and best practices to ensure efficient planning, strong execution and the best experience for participants
  • Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality


Requirements

You must be an enrolled student in Canada for the fall 2023 academic term and be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.


  • Always takes initiative and is solution-oriented
  • Ability to effectively leverage data research, event and programming trends to inform decisions, methods and planning that goes into BridgingTheGap in-person and virtual events
  • Ability to manage own time and perform under tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Proven experience in conducting research and displaying information for current or future reporting, including spreadsheet management
  • Impeccable organizational skills while also able to adjust, pivot and creatively problem-solve independently
  • Receptive to constructive feedback from multiple sources as well as an enthusiasm to apply it and continuously improve output
  • Effectively works both independently and as part of a team, based on project needs
  • Strong communication skills, ensuring the ongoing and transparent flow of communication with fellow team members regarding project status updates, questions and feedback
  • Ability and interest to effectively source high-quality speakers and partners on regional and global levels
  • Desire to learn quickly and constantly while developing alongside a growth company committed to having a global impact
  • Knowledgeable about the state of the world and current issues (i.e. the Global Goals/Sustainable Development Goals)
  • Familiarity with AI tools like Chat GPT and/or Bard is a benefit
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and easily manage multiple projects at the same time without getting overwhelmed
