Receive customer prescriptions, gather all necessary information, ensure completeness of information

Maintain patient & drug information files

Managing new facility admissions to ensure that all required information is received and recorded in the pharmacy management software.

Previous experience in a Canadian pharmacy is a minimum requirement and a LTC pharmacy is preferred.

Data entry of new drug orders and sending batch cycles to the central fill facility for packaging.

Manage pharmacy inventory including order and receiving of product, maintaining adequate levels of product, and managing expired product.

Ensure all privacy requirements are continuously met, in accordance with federal and provincial laws.

Possess above average communication and organizational skills.

Managing inventory, including monitoring, re-stocking, expired products and inventory management.

Responsible for supporting management in the control of inventory levels.

To be fully conversant with the company’s Health and Safety Program, as well as the requirements set out by provincial regulations.

Pharmacy experience in a dispensary working a minimum of 1,000 hours.

To provide fast, friendly, convenient and professional service in the pharmacy dispensary and OTC sales area

Direct appropriate customer inquiries to the Pharmacist on duty in a timely manner.

Good interpersonal skills when dealing with customers, staff, & management.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Perform computer functions as directed by the Pharmacy Manager;

Fill prescriptions under the Pharmacy Manager’s supervision;

Working under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, complete delegated tasks as required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

Highly motivated with proven organizational, planning and prioritizing skills;

Schedule professional clinical services (. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
