Environmental Risk Coordinator Jobs

Excellent organization abilities and time management skills.

Prepare project and Kiewit required reports and communication of environmental risks to project management.

Maintain project data tracking requirements.

Review requirements and prepare proposals and estimates for new contracts.

5+ years' experience managing design and construction environmental compliance for large construction projects.

Working knowledge of Provincial and Federal environmental legislation.

Education in a relevant field of study (Sustainability/Environment/Climate, Risk Management, Business, Economics), preferable at graduate level

Develop a social risk management program across the enterprise to address emerging and evolving social risks

Actively work to advance E&S risk management and make progress towards addressing E&S risks across the enterprise

Represent Manulife in industry forums and be an active member of the sector as it relates to E&S risk management

Define any new requirements for related risk policies and support the integration of climate and social risks across existing policies

Support with on-going rating agency and disclosure requirements on E&S risk related matters, including regulatory responses

Experience working in remote locations an asset;

Quality control of field data collections and data entry;

Assist with and follow safety requirements during field operations;

Available to travel throughout BC to support short-term remote field work;

ATV/UTV experience an asset ;

Level II Swift water rescue technician certification.

Champion EMS Management Reviews to communicate all aspects of environmental performance to Plant Management on a regular basis.

Perform Plant Environmental Inspections to evaluate adherence to internal and legislated requirements and coordinate responses/follow-up to inspection findings as necessary.

Create, maintain and submit documents/reports to government agencies, where required, to fulfill regulatory requirements (e.g., NPRI, ECA, E2 etc.).

Ensure permit conditions/requirements (e.g., ECA) are implemented and being followed.

Report environmental incidents and compliance issues to the Environmental Manager immediately.

Fully understand the requirements of and oversee the implementation of environmental monitoring programs. Track and trend associated data.

Champion EMS Management Reviews to communicate all aspects of environmental performance to Plant Management on a regular basis.

Perform Plant Environmental Inspections to evaluate adherence to internal and legislated requirements and coordinate responses/follow-up to inspection findings as necessary.

Create, maintain and submit documents/reports to government agencies, where required, to fulfill regulatory requirements (eg. NPRI, ECA etc.).

Ensure permit conditions/requirements (eg. ECA) are implemented and being followed.

Report environmental incidents and compliance issues to the Environmental Manager immediately.

Participate in and/or conduct environmental testing and reporting as related to EMS or legislative requirements (e.g., soil and wastewater testing, etc.).

3-4 year experience in risk management ideally in the rail industry or related fields

Participate in Risk Management Model (RM3) related activities including audit coordination

Coordinate risk management tasks as assigned between risk and compliance team

Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Analytics, Statistics or related field – or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent

Certified Analytics Professional (CAP), Canadian Risk Management (CRM) desirable or Project Management Professional (PMP)

Affinity with technical and commercial terms for contract management

Provide assistance with the execution and governance of the Environmental Management Plan, Environmental compliance requirements and Sustainability goals and metrics

Highly safety conscious with knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within Environmental Management

Certificate or degree in Environmental Studies, Science or Engineering, or a related field, with co-op to 3 years of relevant experience
