Experience working with adolescents or with a vulnerable adult population.

Must be willing to obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR certification.

Must successfully complete and pass the Physical Fitness Abilities Test (COPAT).

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).

Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Assist in the management of resident comfort funds, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to established policies and procedures.

Support residents in participating in activities and events based on their preferences and abilities.

Previous experience in a similar role, preferably working within the senior population or individuals with mental health needs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish meaningful connections with residents and their families

Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite and record-keeping software.

Superior skills in coordination, organizing, written and verbal communication, time-management, teamwork and self-direction.

Prior experience with youth programming, support and youth group facilitation.

Some prior experience with curriculum development or programming is an asset.

Strong computer skills, including familiarity with social media platforms, Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Reviewing and assisting in the development of program curriculum.

Supporting participant outreach, intake, orientation, and evaluation.

Carries out responsibilities in accordance with health and safety requirements. Immediately reports unsafe situations by notifying supervisor or other appropriate personnel.

In-depth knowledge of community resources and strong collaborative skills in working with other community partners to inform the referral process.

Proficiency in the use of personal computers, including related word processing and database management software applications.

Demonstrated knowledge of harm reduction, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented approach; concurrent disorders; addictions and addictions counselling.

Comprehensive knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis and professional practice guidelines for the treatment of various disorders.

Comprehensive knowledge of the broad range of issues pertaining to adolescent mental health problems.
