Manage network and communications system UPS units ranging from 1500 VA to 10 kVA.

Install and maintain wireless LAN systems including bridges to remote islands and ships.

Service weather data collection systems on remote islands.

Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in engineering, communications systems, or satellite systems. Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Diversified satellite engineering experience in design, system integration, operational support and review.

Demonstrated experience supporting and maintaining technical communication equipment.

1 or more years experience working in an office setting; AND

1 or more years experience working with computerized systems.

Training or experience in basic accounting or bookkeeping

Training or experience in accounts payable

To be flexible regarding ongoing changes in responsibilities, assignments and corporate structures.

To take in-house training and certification as required.

To report activities (work orders / inspections) through a computerized maintenance Management system CMMS and Tabs.

Min 4 years’ experience as an signalling or telecom technician

Low Voltage certification is highly recommend

Knowledge of Rail / Vehicle environment is preferable

Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards

Occasionally has to share skills/information to others

Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, including the ability to collaborate with diverse groups and organizations.

Strong organization skills - ability to plan, coordinate, and manage many projects with varying contact lists, time constraints, and follow-up requirements.

Knowledge of emergency management and response, such as human dimensions of hazards and urban interface issues

Demonstrated understanding and application of public relations skills, communications, and educational marketing.

Lead the creation and implementation of the Canada Wildfire Knowledge Exchange and Communications Plans

Assist in delivering education and communication strategies for Canada Wildfire

Perform installation of cabling and systems in healthcare, Educational and Commercial Facilities.

Ongoing product knowledge and learning.

2+ years experience in structured cabling, nurse call, security systems, or audio-visual integration.

Knowledge of computer and network technology.

Great communications skills, high ethical standards, and able to work independently as well as lead teams.

Strong organizational skills & detail oriented.

Apply analytical skills to resolve problems and deliver viable solutions

Excellent communication, documentation, and strong team-building skills to interact with customers and fellow team members

Experience with tower assembly is an asset

Proficiency with Windows operating systems, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. IT knowledge is beneficial for understanding interfacing between a radio system
