Overview Water Distribution Operator I is responsible for the operation and maintenance of water distribution systems. They are responsible for ensuring that the water supply is safe and reliable, and that the water is distributed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Detailed Job Description Water Distribution Operator I is responsible for operating and maintaining water distribution systems, including pumps, valves, meters, and other equipment. They are responsible for monitoring water quality, ensuring that the water supply is safe and reliable, and that the water is distributed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. They are also responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on the water distribution system, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of water distribution systems and operations
• Knowledge of water quality standards and regulations
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair water distribution systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Certification in water distribution systems (preferred)
