Tool Design Coordinator I Jobs

Strong written and oral communication skills

Perform all functions related to shipping and receiving of tools and materials to and from job sites.

Prepare and document project material orders for shipment

Inspect and document incoming equipment returned from projects

Evaluates program and project requirements, develops complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.

Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.

3+ years manufacturing tool engineering/planning related experience

Must have working knowledge of Catia V5 or equivalent CAD/CAM software

Related experience within the aerospace or manufacturing industry

Experience with aerospace materials such as fiberglass, carbon fiber, and aluminum

Performing other duties/special projects as assigned by management.

Basic knowledge of the fastener industry is preferred.

Pneumatic and hydraulic tool experience preferred.

Assumes responsibility for providing tooling technical support and information to customers and inside personnel.

To evaluate, estimate and repair installation tools.

Repairing rivet and threaded insert tools.

Escalate any identified material and tool discrepancies to the Parts Manager

1-3 years’ experience as a Tool Crib Attendant

Must have experience working with Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Experience working with Heavy Equipment is considered an asset.

CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support

GE's BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor (SMR) and/or

Gen-IV reactor technologies including Natrium and ARC sodium fast reactors (SFRs).

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics from an accredited university or college.

Relocation to Markham, ON is required.

Experience developing device drivers for Windows or Linux

Experience in use of lab equipment (e.g., protocol analyzers)

Participates in data entry and compiling of permit documents and records.

Previous work experience in the construction industry or experience in a design office is desirable.

Excellent communication skills are required in order to convey information to the public and explain technical matter in lay terms.

Good writing skills. Must be able to demonstrate accurate keyboard skills and speed.

Performs data and records research from multiple sources such as property files and computer systems (PRISM, POSSE, AMANDA, IMBL, and VanMap).

Administrative work in preparing correspondence and providing relevant information to the public.

Manage the creation and approval of drawings and bill of materials through the design cycle

5 years or more related experience in design, modeling, creating drawings and bills of materials

Expertise in bills of material, with PLM Teamcenter experience an asset

Detailed component design knowledge of large synchronous and induction machines

Knowledge of common manufacturing processes, shop tolerances and industry standards

Planning skills to mitigate risks and pivot when activities do not align with the committed timetable.
