The compensation for this position is $19.30 to $20.48 per hour based on qualifications and experience.

Minimum Grade 12 education. A Diploma/Degree in Disability Services, Social Work or Human Services (or equivalent) is considered an asset

The salary for this position is $19.36 to $21.77 per hour based on qualifications and experience.

Supporting children and youth through life skills teaching and in-the-moment learning, with a hands-on approach

Experience with or willingness to be trained on physical holds on the individuals that we serve

Certification or training in Aboriginal Awareness, Abuse Awareness, Standard First Aid, Medication Administration, and Violence/Crisis Intervention is a definite asset

Demonstrated assessment, problem solving, and critical thinking skills

Utilize own experiences for client engagement and to assist clients with accessing services an supports

Share knowledge of internal and external supports and services with clients and collagues,

Lived experience of a substance use concern

Grade 12 diploma (equivalent experience in the human services field may be considered)

Two years related experience (volunteer or paid) preferably in a similar field of mental health, addictions and/or homelessness

Previous experience in a peer support role in a similar field of mental health, addictions and/or homelessness an asset

Knowledge of occupational health and standard safety act

Knowledge of equipment, cleaning materials, and techniques required

Must possess effective oral and written communication skills

Responsible for cleaning and providing high standards of custodian care for the interior of CTC

Operates and maintains cleaning equipment such as ride on auto scrubbers, floor burnisher, and push floor scrubbers

Clean, dust and vacuum all areas of CTC
