Structural Building Engineer Jobs in Ontario

Experience in site plan Land Development, and municipal infrastructure,

Working knowledge of applicable Canadian Standards and Codes.

Working knowledge of Civil 3D and Auto CAD

Attend a stand-up meeting with your scrum team to discuss yesterday’s challenges and plan for the day’s tasks

Preparing plan, profile, section and earthworks drawings.

Assist with project management and construction administration

You have at least 5-10 years of experience in the civil/structural consulting industry

Bridge design experience is an asset

Extensive Building Code knowledge and/or a BCIN is an asset

You have experience providing mentorship and advice to those on your team

Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills

10+ years of experience in the design of steel and/or concrete structures, project management, and other leadership roles

Excellent organizational skills to manage working on multiple projects simultaneously

Identification of project risks and liabilities and develop strategies to minimize them

Experience with supervising, mentoring, and motivating a team of engineers and designers

Experience with the design of steel and concrete structures

Experience with finite element analysis programs such as STAAD.Pro, S-Frame, SAP2000

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural and/or Building Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience

·EPC background, preferred in Hydrogen, Oxygen service, Oil & Gas, Offshore equipment

·Able to steer a global team of designers / drafter located in India, Canada, Belgium.

Familiar with structural design of high voltage electrical systems is a bonus.

Extensive experience in structural engineering projects from Tunnels, Construction, Bridges, Dams etc. is required.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as other engineering software

• Strong organizational skills, including effective management of multiple and conflicting priorities

• Minimum five years relevant experience in engineering and design

• Experience with a review and interpretation of geotechnical reports is required

• Experience with ground improvement design as a basis of a value-engineered retaining wall solution is required

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD software is required

• Working knowledge of geotechnical design (deep foundations, retaining walls) is highly desired
