Stormwater Field Technician Jobs

Extensive knowledge of FEMA floodplain regulations, floodplain modelling best practices and FEMA modeling guidance, and floodplain permitting requirements.

Previously prepared and submitted stormwater management plans or flood studies to the City of Fort Worth.

Four (4) years of increasingly responsible civil engineering experience

Experience with preparing flood studies for submission to FEMA, including HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS models for LOMR, CLOMR, or CTP program submissions.

Experience with drainage and grading design, floodplain modelling, stormwater system modelling and planning, detention pond design, or subdivision infrastructure design.

Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and produce deliverables on time and within budget.

Professional experience with water resources engineering including hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, water balances, flood management, storm sewer design, and drainage design.

Undertaking and leading a range of stormwater management projects for industrial site development, flood mitigation, and compliance.

Project management with the client and other design disciplines, while managing schedule and budget

Minimum 10 years of experience in conducting water resource projects, preferably in a consulting role.

Proven technical writing and communication skills.

Experience using specialized numerical modeling software (e.g. SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM,) would be considered an asset.

-Develop and maintain knowledge of regulatory design requirements.

-Must have strong formal writing skills and have experience in organizing written technical reports.

-Must have good presentation skills and experience in conducting training sessions for clients.

-Manage and coordinate product fabrication and shipping to site.

-Must have minimum 2 years professional experience with technical product support that included end-user

-Must have strong organizational skills and ability for self-checking of work.

• Fundamental knowledge of leading-edge internal audit and risk management theories and methodologies.

• Experience with project management software tools.

• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook).
