Software Quality Test Engineer Jobs

Write test cases based on requirements and user stories to facilitate behavior-driven development (BDD)

Practical knowledge of medical device regulatory requirements and standards such as IEC 60601 and 62304 is preferred

Minimum 2 years of experience with software verification and validation testing

Experience with writing specifications, test protocols, and test reports

Keen interest in software test automation; experience using test automation tools and frameworks is an asset

3+ years of relevant professional experience

Firmware / Embedded software development experience

Experience with Linux or Unix development

Experience using Python (or similar scripting languages) in automated testing, build systems, or device firmware communication

Experience with real-time operating systems

Experience shipping consumer electronics products

Perform all software integration testing, qualification testing and non-regression testing

Ensure that test cases are created and reviewed for defined requirements

Analyze, develop and execute test scripts and test cases according to the ASPICE / ISO 26262 methodology and standards

Participate in various development phases and formal tests in the software development life cycle

Know the software testing methodologies (unit testing, integration testing, white box testing, black box testing)

Write reports and documentation on software testing for defects that occur

Analyze functional requirements and create test cases.

Participate in requirement and test case reviews.

Education in Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, or other related education or disciplines.

Proven experience in embedded software development or testing.

Knowledge of LabVIEW or TestStand.

Knowledge of at least 1 programming language to be able to write small test programs.

SW configuration management, including internal repositories and SAP, among other requirements

Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices

Over 7 years of experience in system integration, validation and Test

Knowledge of recent Agile / Scrum project and SW development methodology

Some relevant experience, including but not limited to SAP configuration control, TEAMCenter, SW repositories and configuration control in general

Integration and Test; requires some level of competency using servers and all associated software components
