Graduate of an approved Medical Radiography program with attained certification by CAMRT – OR

Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program with attained certification by CSMLS

Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills required in English

Graduate of an approved Laboratory or Radiology Assistant Program

Must maintain current licensing with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM)

Minimum three years' recent related work experience preferred

Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program with attained certification by the CSMLS

Apply technical knowledge to interpretation of results, troubleshooting, and assessing of methods

Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills required

Fluent language skills (written and oral) in both French and English may be required

Advanced academic achievement (e.g. A.R.T. or B.Sc.) preferred

Current certification as an X-Ray Technologist - CMRITO

Proven experience in a clinical setting.

Excellent patient care skills and high attention to detail.

Performing diagnostic imaging examinations using X-ray equipment.

Ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures.

Maintaining and calibrating equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

Previous related pediatric experience preferred.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the applicable policy.

Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.

Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and relate well with patients and their families.

Familiarity with PACS and RIS preferred.

Graduation from a recognized school of Medical Imaging Technology.

Knowledge of and dutifully follows radiation safety practices for the protection of the patient, colleagues and their own occupational dose.

Must have past experience in Emergency, Operating Room and Portable Radiology.

Perform all x-ray exams as per determined departmental protocols.

Includes general x-ray, O.R., Portables, Gastric exams, Fluoroscopy and minor procedures

Complete exam process by image review, confirming documentation and presenting to radiologists for reporting via film and/or PACS.

Must be registered and in good standing with CMRITO. CAMRT is preferred.

Demonstrated planning, organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize workload.

Minimum one year Radiology experience required.
