Regional Financial Planning Consultant Jobs

Minimum five (5) years experience in Project or Data Management, preferably within a land use planning or capital planning environment;

Relevant experience working in educational institutions or public sector considered an asset;

Accredited Learning Environment Planner (ALEP) certification considered an asset.

2+ years of experience in the financial industry: Preference to those with mutual fund, asset management, or transferable sales experience.

Relationship management and interpersonal skills with an ability to develop broad, mutually beneficial partnerships.

Experience working with investment advisors and a solid understanding of the advisor and investor behaviors is also a requirement.

Sales and organizational skills are a requirement for this role in order to identify needs and opportunities.

Strength and comfort level in presentation skills as well as professionalism in a client-facing role are a requirement.

The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experience including the following:

Experience in land or resource planning and providing advice and options to senior management;

Experience in negotiations, conflict resolution and media skills;

Experience leading and developing people

Degree in Planning or a related discipline (Graduate degree is preferable);

Understanding of Yukon First Nation Final Agreements would be an asset.

What You Need To Know

Develop strong internal networks with the software owners and training and practice management to enhance overall effectiveness of training.

Provide coaching and feedback to branch managers after any onsite visit

5+ years of related experience in one or more of the following areas: financial planning, training and development.

Exceptional presentation skills; both written and verbal

Knowledge and technical proficiency related to myGPS or other financial software solutions

Strong knowledge of Canadian tax system, estate and financial planning.

Partner with regional management team in identifying risks & opportunities against AOP & strategic roadmap.

Own and communicate financial and operational package to local senior management.

Develop models that enable dynamic planning capabilities.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics.

5+ years of progressive financial experience in similar capacity

Previous experience with ERP & planning software, including BI tools is an asset.

Strong interpersonal and relationship building and management

Provide education to insurance advisors regarding tax and estate planning opportunities utilizing insurance products

Ability to apply niche knowledge to practically implement planning solutions

Strong oral and written communication skills

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

Expertise in personal, estates and corporate tax gained through relevant accounting, legal or financial services experience (5-7 years minimum)

High-level negotiation skills, with experience navigating cultural and community partnerships.

Experience working with artists, fabricators, and art installers; knowledge of art production methods and processes.

Strong organizational skills and capability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.

Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in a curatorial position, art production, exhibition organization, or other relevant experience in the field

Knowledge of North American cities, especially cultural institutions in each city.

Teamwork experience and the ability to build relationships with artist studios and partner organizations.
