Regional Facility Services Technician Jobs

Proven experience in a similar role (maintenance repairs in plumbing, electrical, painting and renovations)

Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices

Strong organisational and follow up skills, detail-oriented

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment

Oversee contractors in occasions when professional repairs or servicing is necessary

Remains current with all management of change installs and retrofits on pressure equipment

Assists in preparing equipment for upcoming jobs, including pre-job certifications

3 – 5 years of experience in a field technician role

Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and an ability to deal diplomatically with a wide range of personalities

This position provides a set shift schedule that allows you to get home each day or night

Some field visits will be required; however, this is a yard based role

Relevant work experience and completion of required certifications.

Previous experience in a minerals processing or soil analysis laboratory

Good practical skills with demonstrated ability to dismantle and assemble test equipment for cleaning, maintenance or re-configuration for test work.

Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Performing all tasks in a safe manner in line with Weir SHE policies and guidelines.

Carrying out equipment and pilot plant test work, collecting test results and producing tabulated data. for review by engineers.

Excellent communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment including ability to communicate with the physician community.

Basic computer literacy with word processing, spreadsheet and/or database programs and ability to utilize a computerized patient care information system required.

Demonstrated ability to facilitate, collaborate and negotiate for effective resolution of human resource issues.

Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative working relationships to support the professional practice and ongoing development of staff.

Demonstrated ability to promote development of clinical research opportunities to ensure evidence-based practice within an interdisciplinary team-based environment.

Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.

Benefits eligibility on start date

3 – 5 years working experience with natural gas related equipment and appliances.

4th Class Power/Operating Engineer or G2 Gas Technician certification.

Candidate with a G2 Gas Technician certification preferred.

Gas compressor experience would be an asset.

Positive attitude with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Communicate with multiple teams and management on a weekly or monthly basis to ensure compliance and consistency regarding maintenance projects

Collaborate with general managers to review and resolve open maintenance issues

Advise managers of maintenance concerns and ensure creation of work order requests

Maintain technical and product knowledge on all equipment within the technician’s area of responsibility

Minimum five years’ preventive maintenance experience required

Class B Environmental certification required after hire
