Skills, Experience & Education Requirements

Post-Secondary Education in Quality Assurance or Food Science

Previous food manufacturing experience is required

Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and team working skills

Collect and evaluate incoming materials and finished goods against standards

Maintain & document clear, concise and detailed records or product inspections and findings on all associated QA reports.

·Follow all Safety Rules and Regulatory Requirements

·Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility or Quality department would be an asset.

We are looking for a Quality lab inspector to join our team.

·Complete required testing on all plated products

·Complete Reports from data collected from the X-ray testing devices.

·Complete Nonconformance Reports and issues.

Good knowledge and understanding of GLP and GMP, and regulatory requirements applicable to stability of Cosmetic and OTC products

Prepare stability reports according to standards, client’s requirements and regulatory regulations and guidelines

Manage stability samples and documents

Assists the R&I Stability Lab Manager on internal and client/government audits as well as, stability lab duties, as required

Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related field and equivalent work experience

Good computer skills with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel)

Proficient oral and written communication skills and ability to appropriately communicate information to management

Help with inventory management and forecast consumables within lab for testing to ensure that these are replenished in a timely manner.

Do SOP review and/or test peer review and escalate all non-conformances immediately to management.

Perform duties as assigned by management

Experience in a microbiology, or product evaluation laboratory in Quality Control for a global consumer goods or pharma company

Microbiology evaluation skills preferred with emphasis on Testing, reading of test plates, counting colonies and describing colony morphology etc.

Project management and working on multiple activities at the same time

Relevant experience in a laboratory.

Flexibility and adaptability to meet customer/business requirements

Minimum 5 years of practical lab experience

5 years pharmaceutical experience is an asset

Working efficiently on a team

Previous experience in QA Lab within a manufacturing environment considered an asset

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Overtime Paid at 40 hours

Annual Work Boot allowance at $200 / yr

Tool Allowance at additional $0.35 / hour

Coveralls provided and cleaned by company

Finished goods sample room management

Previous experience or education in a Quality-related role or program is preferred.

Collection, testing and/or validating of client samples

Using quality laboratory including equipment following work instructions and carton quality standards

Quality audits and inspections, including elements of food safety

Participate in document control distribution

Minimum 2 years’ experience within a Food Manufacturing or Quality Lab

Working knowledge of Food Quality and Safety Programs

Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Test to positively release manufactured products and create Certificates of Analysis (COA’s)

Conduct incoming sampling and testing of raw materials
