Quality Assurance Test Automation Lead Jobs in British Columbia

Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest, Zephyr) and SQL.

Participate in project meetings to provide insights from a QA perspective and contribute to project planning and management.

Strong understanding of QA methodologies and project management principles.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop effective testing strategies.

3+ years of proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or in a similar QA role.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Certifications: All preferred (e.g. ISTQB or related)

• Complete Quality Assurance deliverables on time, as per the schedule.

• Provide regular status updates and call out risks and issues to release and project timelines.

• Provide inputs for root cause analysis of post-production issues and plan to prevent them in future.

• Have in-depth and up-to-date understanding of the organization’s products, applications, systems, environments, processes and tools.

Strong knowledge of Robot Framework and Selenium

Writing test plans, test cases and automated test scripts with Azure DevOps

ETL, Security and Role based testing, SQL Reporting, and workflow.

Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

Ideally 2 - 3 days per week in office in downtown Vancouver.

$50 - $55 per hour for an INC consultant.

Knowledge and experience with software testing

Experience and strong knowledge of Linux, virtual machines and SQL DB

Experience in test automation with Python, Robot Framework or other languages/frameworks

Knowledge of general QA procedures and methodologies, as well as software development fundamentals

Experience configuring, installing, and troubleshooting PC/server software and hardware in a Windows and Linux environment

Demonstrated knowledge of firewalls, Linux, and packet sniffers.

Agile and Test case Management tools such as JIRA and TestRail

Collaborate with product managers, designers, researches, developers and other team members to identify and implement test plans/ test scenarios

Experience with scripting/automation such as Selenium, Cypress, Postman - API

1+ years experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins/Bamboo

A positive attitude and excellent communication skills

Experience in an Agile environment
