Conducting activities associated with verification, inspection, testing and release of incoming materials, ingredients, raw materials, packaging and labelling components;

Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system (ISO9001)

Produce management feedback on performance in areas of responsibility

Write simple reports and provide information to management

Assist the Quality Manager with new product introduction

Support production dept and manager if needed

Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)

Excellent writing, editing, research, and critical thinking skills

Draft and edit technical/legal documents and letters based on internal materials

Revise documents according to internal specifications and client feedback

Keep up with updated immigration policies and strategies

Ability to gain a basic understanding of a variety of different scientific topics

Ability to present complex research in clear, concise prose accessible to a wide audience

Ship qualification samples to customers.

Completion of a technical program preferred and/or 3-4 years’ work experience in the food or related industry.

Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, allergens, and food safety.

Experience with allergen testing is considered an asset (example. Gluten)

Experience in commissioning and start-ups considered an asset.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Document test results and effectively communicate to Quality and Production Managers

Work on projects assigned by the Quality Manager

Good communication skills, team oriented and able to work independently

Working knowledge of Food Safety

Strong written and communication skills

Strong skills in data analysis – Excel spreadsheets and graphing.

Participate in 8D investigations, training evaluations and other activities assign by Quality Engineer or Quality Manager

Effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge in gauge selection / functionality

Knowledge and usage of inspection equipment

Product, process and systems audits experience
