Product Development Technical Writer Jobs

Prior experience conducting Change Notices and operating in a Product Data Management (PDM) environment.

Collaboration with internal departments on the efficient implementation of Product Improvements received from Field Services and Project Management teams.

Collaborate with industrial designers, engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to align technical designs with overall product requirements and project timelines.

Possess knowledge of engineering principles, materials science, manufacturing processes, and technical documentation standards.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges and contribute to design improvements.

A working knowledge of content management systems is an asset

An understanding of commonly used language in the Human Capital Management and Payroll industries is an asset

Proven technical content writing, copywriting, and editing experience

Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications; experience with Jira and Confluence is an asset

Effective verbal and written communication skills, and comfort presenting to stakeholders at various levels of the organization

You will own technical content review to ensure clarity, completeness, accuracy, consistency and that the quality of documentation meets Avanti standards

Experience in project management, with a demonstrated ability to manage for results and set and establish new standards of success

Deliver prompt, personal and meaningful gift acknowledgement correspondence  

Experience using Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat)

Experience with SharePoint is an asset

Superior expertise in standard writing and editing skills including English grammar, punctuation and syntax.

Superior interpersonal relationship-building skills with a collaborative spirit

4 Year BA Degree with focused training in Technical Design, Product Management, Product Development or relevant experience

Strong interpersonal skills including analytical, problem solving, organizational, issue resolution, and internal and external relationship management

Lead, train, mentor and coach the team to elevate business and soft skill set within team

Resource and allocate seasonal style capacity efficiently across various product classifications and team capabilities in partnership with product development group

Maintain a knowledgeable overview of all product categories with the ability to proxy and aid in strategic decision making

Cascade and monitor team OKR’s (Objective Key Responsibilities)
