Qualifications to be become Security Guard in healthcare setting?

2 Week Rotation ( 14 Days on and 14 Days Off)

Shift: 7.30 Pm to 7.30 Am

Pay rate - $17.00/ hr

Complete procedures related to building operating hours and traffic management programs

Complete CF Serve and Secure program with annual recertification;

Post-secondary education in Law Enforcement/Security or equivalent;

Minimum one (1) year of shopping centre security experience preferred;

1-year experience in Retail Security settings

Knowledgeable about security operations and procedures

Maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by patrolling and monitoring premises

Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points

Access Control: Permit authorized persons entry to site when required

Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, inform violators of policy and procedures; restrain if necessary

Prior security guard experience is a requirement.

Securing the premises and personnel by staying on patrol.

You have proven time-management and organizational skills

You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a customer service environment

Previous experience monitoring multiple CCTV cameras simultaneously

You have excellent verbal and written communication skills

You must have resided in Canada for the last 5 years due to security clearance requirements

You pride yourself on your superior customer service skills

Post-Secondary education in law enforcement from a recognized institution or equivalent experience is preferred

Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Must possess excellent computer skills.

Must possess Ontario Security Guard License.

First Aid& CPR – Level C

Physical Demands include excessive walking and standing.

Prior knowledge of safety procedures on construction sites as well as experience in construction site operations is desirable.

Manage entry points by confirming identity, carrying out safety screenings, and allowing only permitted individuals to access the premises.

Completion of secondary education or its equivalent.

Having certification in First Aid and CPR is advantageous.

Regularly inspect and oversee the construction premises in order to prevent stealing, damaging acts, and unapproved entry.

Ensure that security protocols and safety regulations are implemented to uphold a safe and risk-free environment.

Manage the front lobby area during wet weather. (Safety-related issues)

Maintain and have a working knowledge of all safety related equipment including all Security and emergency radios.

Report any malfunctions of building electrical, plumbing, and heating devices to the Facilities manager.

Three years related security experience preferred.

Working knowledge of California Penal Code sections related to a university environment as well as security practices.

Knowledge of Reporting of Fiscal Improprieties within the Chancellor's Office preferred.

Must be able to meet the physical requirements:

Experience in Industrial Oil and Gas setting environment

Good knowledge of computer and surveillance systems

Previous Security Experience is an asset
