Our Material Recycling Facility (MRF) in Winnipeg is seeking highly motivated candidate to support our operations as “security guard/groundskeeper”.

Job Duties:


  • Securing the premises and personnel by staying on patrol.
  • Patrolling areas and completing security checks.
  • Guarding entry points and verifying visitors.
  • Buildings inspections.
  • Monitoring surveillance equipment.
  • Reporting any unusual situation and behaviours.
  • Responsible for deterring criminal activity and enforcing rules on an assigned property or location while adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and plant security policies.
  • Professionally managing emergency situations. Cooperating with Fire Department or with the Sprinkler system company).
  • Monitoring and Protecting property.


Requirements:


  • Security guard license is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 7 kg.
  • Prior security guard experience is a requirement.
  • Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours.
  • Can stay alert at all times during the night.
  • Excellent sense of judgment.
