Power Bi Specialist Jobs in British Columbia

Experience with on-premise Data Warehouse reusable framework design and implementation.

Experience with building data pipelines and ETL processes

Extensive development experience with technologies including SSIS, SQL Server, REST API, OLAP cubes, BI Analytic tools

Extensive analytic development experience with PowerBI and preferably Microsoft Power Platform

Experience in PowerBI report development, reports automation with data source refresh configurations

Thorough knowledge of software development methods, practices, and procedures

Strong requirements gathering, decision making, project management, problem solving, and investigative skills.

Excellent time management and prioritization skills

Solid analytic and problem-solving skills, detail oriented mind set and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Liaise with users and other stakeholders to implement and refine BI requirements

Elicit, develop, and document requirements and assist with testing/verification of the solution

Promotes and manages positive relationships between stakeholders, subject matter experts and technical resources.

• Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle databases, or other relational database management systems

• Manage and maintain the Power BI environment, including Workspaces, content permissions and content Deployment Pipelines

• Design and develop data models that support complex business requirements, ensuring re-usability, performance, and maintainability

• 3+ years business intelligence, analytics, and/or reporting experience

• 2+ years of experience designing and developing Power BI reports.

• Experience with Power Query, DAX, and M languages

Past experience developing and creating Power BI reporting

Knowledge of development and implementations practices of data architecture and engineering.

Testing and peer review experience

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Power BI reporting solutions.

Proven experience as a Power BI Solution Architect, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.

Strong knowledge of Power BI, including data modeling, DAX expressions, and report development.

Experience in extracting and transforming data from ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.

Proficiency in SQL and advanced knowledge of relational databases.

Ability to translate complex business requirements into efficient Power BI solutions.

2-5 years of experience in PowerBI Development

Coming from an analytics education program

Able to make both strong visuals but validate the backend data flowing into PowerBI
