Piping Superintendent Jobs

Contract position open on site working with our client.

This is a FIFO (fly in fly out) position. Day shift

Camp included with flights from Canadian hubs.

Experience with Information Management and Communication.

Proficiency in Primavera software, piping design software, and project management tools.

Experience with Turnaround Objectives, Strategies, and Interfaces.

Experience with Turnaround Preparation & Planning.

Experience with Schedule, Resource, and Cost Controls.

Pipeline and Facility Engineering and Design.

FEED, Detailed Engineering and Post Engineering construction

- familiar with Piping classes and different material grades

- Perform field verification, laser scan walk throughs, and constructability support

Pipeline and Facility Engineering and Design.

FEED, Detailed Engineering and Post Engineering construction

Proficient computer skills; experience with estimating software.

The ideal candidate would have a Pipe trades background with Post secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or Technology.

1 – 3 years working experience in estimating, or equivalent position

Direct experience with estimating process plants, Petro-chemical, or other refinery EPC type projects is considered an asset.

Knowledge of typical costs associated with piping activities.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and motivate individuals to achieve project goals.

At least 10 years of experience in piping system design, fabrication, and installation in the oil and gas industry.

Strong knowledge of industry standards, including ASME, ASTM, API, and ANSI.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex piping issues.

Develop and implement piping fabrication and installation procedures, ensuring that they are in line with project specifications and industry standards.

Coordinates with the Engineer Manager and Project Engineering to resolve technical problems

Experience with Compressor piping installation, and pipe strains is preferred

Successfully supervised and managed a minimum of 100 craft personnel.

Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs

Monitor and audit the performance of DFL personnel in assuring that work is completed

Plans, schedules, and coordinates the work with DFL to insure conformance to construction

Demonstrated capability to manage a knowledge-based work unit.

Prior experience that supports ASME Section III Appendix XXIII Qualification for Design Report is considered an asset.

Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Experience in piping analysis codes such as CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, PIPESTRESS and STANPIPE.

Prior experience in piping analysis in the Oil and Gas or Nuclear Power Generation Industries.
