Possess a good mechanical aptitude, knowledge of railcar components considered an asset
Obtain forklift qualification through on site / in house training
Experience operating various types of equipment an asset and willingness to learn industry specific equipment
Tracking and/or knowledge of Rail Operating Rules considered an asset
Railway background with welding experience considered an asset
Perform repair, maintenance, and inspections on railcars and freight car equipment in accordance with industry standards

They must be able to use oxy-acetylene and arc welding equipment, as well as other welding tools, in order to join metal components together.
