Overview Pipe Stress Engineers are responsible for the design, analysis, and maintenance of piping systems. They must ensure that the piping systems are safe, reliable, and meet all applicable codes and standards. They must also be able to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise with the piping systems. Detailed Job Description Pipe Stress Engineers are responsible for designing, analyzing, and maintaining piping systems. They must ensure that the piping systems are safe, reliable, and meet all applicable codes and standards. They must also be able to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise with the piping systems. They must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and codes. They must also be able to use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify piping systems. They must be able to analyze the stress and strain of piping systems and be able to recommend solutions to any problems that arise. They must also be able to inspect and test piping systems to ensure they are functioning properly. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards
• Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Knowledge of stress and strain analysis
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and codes
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with piping systems
• Ability to inspect and test piping systems
• Ability to communicate effectively
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• Professional engineering license
• 5+ years of experience in pipe stress engineering
