Patient Education Coordinator Jobs

Certification in a Childbirth Education Program- Childbirth Education Certification (CCE), ICEA certification, Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE) , RPN or RN

Minimum two years of childbirth education experience

Doula certification a definite asset

Basic skills related to audio/visual equipment

Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint for teaching (laptop, LCD projector)

Demonstrated strong public speaking, presentation and teaching skills

Preferred 3 -5 years related experience in patient education in a hospital or health care setting

Demonstrated experience developing patient education resources

Experience working with different technologies which support patient education

Developing patient education tools and resources for the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre Cancer Program;

Oversee the training, coaching/mentoring of volunteers that work closely with patient education

Coordinating the dissemination of patient education tools across the cancer program

ØGreet all patients upon arrival

ØSchedule appointments and create contacts when needed

Excellent organizational, information/data management skills, and well developed judgment

A minimum one year experience in patient education or a related field required and professional healthcare experience

Experience in program development and evaluation is required.

Experience in evidence-based research and evaluation an asset

Excellent written, report writing and presentation skills

Exemplary interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills including plain language editing
