Hours of work are 8:00am - 8:00pm, 12-hour shifts for a total of 72 hours biweekly;

Minimum starting rate of pay is $24.43

Minimum of six months’ experience working with young children

Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification prior to the first day of work

Provide quality compassionate care and support to children and their families

Be a creative play partner who is actively engaged with the children and makes learning fun

Ensure supervision and safety of children at all times; Understand and comply with provincial (CCEYA), municipal and YMCA policies and procedures

Observe and expand on children’s learning opportunities and complete required documentation of children’s development and interactions

Ability to work alone or in a team environment to meet project management deadlines

Leaders who support your development through coaching and opportunity management

Development opportunities through training and educational assistance programs

Install cables in a variety of different environments, both free air and conduit

Install face plates and termination boxes

Preparing, fastening and securing cable for termination

Attend required curriculum training and professional development opportunities. Maintain qualifications and certifications as required by the YMCA and provincial standards

· Proven experience in adult education

· Experience in facilitating child car seat safety educational sessions and training

Demonstrated teaching and presentation skills

· Minimum 5 years in community education

· Demonstrated experience working with diverse groups
