Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Understanding of Market Risk (preferred) or Counterpart Credit Risk (less preferred but might work)

Relevant experience required in a credit or market risk function including:

Thorough knowledge of traded products including derivatives and their associated risks

MBA, MA or MS or equivalent with emphasis in finance, economics or a quantitative discipline

CFA, FRM or other related professional qualifications

10+ years of relevant IT and business industry work experience as a BA/BSA

Credit Risk – Data Analytics and Testing

• Assist in coordinating the implementation of changes to improve performance and post implementation support

• Prepare data for testing application functionalities in large, complex systems

5+ Years of Experience in BFS Risk analytics with experience in supporting risk management through effective business analytics and software testing

Liaise with application development and infrastructure teams targeting on-going development, production activity and release management.

Review requirements from business users to ensure that testing plans cover business requirements

Coordinate and execute end-to-end testing efforts with internal and external interfaces, particularly in more complex end-to-end testing situations

Assist in coordinating the implementation of changes to improve performance and post implementation support

Prepare data for testing application functionalities in large, complex systems

Follow procedures and policies governing the Firm’s risk management activities and responsibilities

Provide back-up support in administering the Firm’s risk management processes, systems and activities, including processes for lateral hires.

Update policies and relevant documentation as needed, in collaboration with Senior Risk Manager and General Counsel

Ensure IT processes and controls are efficient, maintained and managed appropriately

University Degree or College Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent work experience

2+ years in credit risk management in retail baking

2+ years of hands on modeling experience

Experience in formal validation and or development of credit model is preferred

Experience in developing Logistic, OLS Regression, GLM, CHAID, Tree and other machine learning techniques

Experience in IFRS9 methodology and calculation process

Experience in data visualization and portfolio reporting
