Logistics And Transport Specialist Jobs

5+ years of direct trade compliance experience in a multinational organization

Business degree in Supply Chain Logistics or related experience

Knowledge of global import/customs regulations, export control regulations, embargoes, and sanctions

Computer Literate – must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel

Work with the Shipping/Warehousing teams on the floor

Prioritize the Sales Order to ensure Shipping and Logistics are aligned for On-Time Deliveries

Knowledge of inventory management practices.

Solid understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiations.

Analyze procurement requirements, prepare, and issue purchase orders, and monitor for timely delivery.

Coordinate and manage shipping and freight, including carrier selection, rate negotiation, and shipment tracking.

Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and hazardous materials handling procedures.

Diploma or Degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Have knowledge of international export rules for countries such as Asia, Caribbean and USA;

Manage the “Freight” system by customer and by type of sugar delivered either by truck, by train or by boat.

Experience in the food industry (an asset);

Knowledge in Logistics, overall understanding of accounting, statistics and mathematics;

Knowledgeable in Word, Excel, Office, TMS;

Ability to manage several tasks and competing priorities.
