Demonstrated organizational, analytical, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills required.

Previous experience in a similar role preferred.

Basic knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Office and Outlook, is required.

Knowledge of Meditech is preferred.

Previous experience in a similar role (admitting patients) preferred.

Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Manage the call queue with decision support software and in accordance with established policy.

Other responsibilities as required by the program.

Minimum two years related experience working in an office environment, preferably with experience in the health care industry.

Experience working in a contact center environment and managing shared work queues is an asset.

Strong computer and telecommunication skills

Experience in Hematology/Oncology or Nephrology preferred

Hematology/Oncology or Nephrology certification or enrollment in the certification process preferred

Demonstrates critical thinking skills, including clinical judgment, problem solving skills, and strong decision-making ability

Demonstrated strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and colleagues

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Program

Licensed or eligible for licensure by the College of Registered Nurses of Nova Scotia
