Maintaining accurate records of health, medications, treatments, procedures, behaviors, and inventory management
Basic Grooming (bathing, brushing, cleaning)
Observing and looking for signs of illness, injuries, and general distress.
Cleaning cages, equipment, and work areas to the highest standards to ensure health and safety regulations and protocols are followed.
In addition to these duties others may be assigned.

A Kennel Attendant is responsible for providing care for animals in a kennel or animal shelter. They are responsible for feeding, exercising, grooming, and cleaning the animals. They may also be responsible for administering medications and providing basic medical care.

What is Kennel Attendant Skills Required?

• Knowledge of animal care and behavior
• Ability to handle animals safely and humanely
• Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

What is Kennel Attendant Qualifications?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with animals
• Certification in animal care or related field (preferred)

• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
• Knowledge of animal welfare laws and regulations
