Junior Mechanical Assistant Jobs

Conduct on-site surveys and collect data for project requirements

2-3 years of experience in HVAC, ventilation, piping, utilities, and food processing design

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Assist senior engineers in the design and implementation of mechanical systems including HVAC, ventilation, piping, and utilities

Prepare and interpret P&ID diagrams for various projects

Project management experience, particularly in managing complex projects on batch plants.

Assist in the preparation of layouts and detail drawings in line with project requirements.

1-2 years of experience in Mechanical and Materials Handling design drafting.

Experience in 2D and 3D Mechanical design and plant layout.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Address design/schedule issues by maintaining an overview of activity, communicating with team members, and raising issues in a timely manner.

Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology

Read and understand piping, pipeline, and equipment specifications

Be familiar with piping, pipeline, and equipment Industrial Standards (ASME, API, CSA)

Understand and use P&IDs on projects

Specify, evaluate, and select oil and gas processing equipment and piping systems

Support the lead mechanic with general shop related tasks

Assist in changing tires, parts running and diagnostic support

Help maintain vehicle and maintenance records, ensuring information remains up to date and reflects recent repair and maintenance activities

Ensuring task specific training is completed before taking on more complex mechanical tasks

Maintain tools and equipment in safe operating condition

Perform work in accordance with safety best practices
