Intermediate Superintendent Jobs

5 to 8 years of previous Hydrogeology experience.

Experience in writing successful proposals, work plans and technical reports.

Solid post-graduate experience in a variety of building typologies, with an emphasis on civic and mixed-use residential developments

Overall Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities

Gain the knowledge required to provide technical direction and advice to team as required;

Experience with supervision of contractors on site, drilling, borehole logging and monitoring well installations is an asset.

Experience working on active mine sites is an asset;

Support drilling, borehole logging and monitoring well installations;

Assist project team in the communication, mananagement and cost control associated with various programs;

2 or more years of experience assisting or supervising construction projects with a General Contractor

Post-secondary education, CET or equivalent

Assist with directing field operations in the delivery of projects by adhering to schedules, budgets, safety and risk.

Assist with developing and executing project work plans aimed at keeping projects on track and on budget.

Proficiency with MS Office and Windows based computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and Project)

Has worked on complex projects in excess of $40 million

·Exceptional organization and time management skills to prioritize the workload to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.

·Law Clerk, Legal Assistant or related legal Diploma or Certificate.

·Knowledge and understanding of the OBCA, CBCA, PPSA, Superior Courts, the Ontario Business Registry and eCore.

·Excellent working knowledge and of Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, and related web-based applications.

·Preparation and review of various types of registrations under the PPSA.

·Review results and prepare summary reports for Superior Court and other due diligence searches.

Educational Requirements & Desired Skills and Experience

Undergraduate or graduate degree in a Physical Geography, Geomorphology, River Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, or equivalent education

Minimum of 5 years related experience

Proven scientific skills in a range of areas including field data collection, river mechanics, sediment transport, geomorphic processes, and hydraulics

Experience in related aspects of water resources including environmental geoscience, biogeography, aquatic and ecological sciences

Experience in geomatics, airphoto interpretation/manipulation, and field surveys (total station, RTK)

The CAE - Intermediate responsibilities include but not limited to:

Good knowledge of computer simulation, numerical methods, and FEA theory

Experience with fatigue calculation (using sine. random vibration, road load vibration profile, shock profiles etc. within either FEMFAT or nCode)

3+ years of CAE durability analysis experience in automotive industry

Demonstrated experience and expertise using ABAQUS, FAMFAT or nCode, ANSA, Hypermesh, Optistruct or equivalent

Experience with explicit FEA codes (LS-DYNA, ABAQUS EXPLICIT) is a plus

At least 5 years of experience within an architectural firm (Experience in education or other institutional projects is an asset)

Assist Design Manager in all project phases

Manage project timelines and budgets

A combination of talent and technical skills in design projects

Construction documentation experience, including coordination and working drawings

Excellent knowledge of the BC Building Code
