Intermediate Estimator Jobs

Diploma / Degree – Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineering, Project / Construction Management, or relevant experience in an estimating environment.

Role suitable for candidates with professional experience with Project Management and Accounting.

Supports the Project Controls team as functional lead for all estimating and change management interfaces & deliverables.

Proficient with– MS Excel and cost estimating / management software.

Manage the development of cost estimates for projects from concept through execution.

Provide input and recommendations for estimating requirements relative to staffing for the full range of estimating activities.

A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.

5 years or more experience in estimating multi-million dollar Civil projects in the value of $15-50M

Complete and/or lead the entire bid from the concept to completion of the tender

Identify the true cost of items (labour, material and equipment etc.) at every stage of the process

Determine along the way if the cost of the items are feasible to the owner

Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with sub-contractors, architects and consultants

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in a Civil or Construction Industry preferred.

Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge is required.

Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Junior/Intermediate Estimator Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Review tenders and contracts, for completeness and correctness.

·Construction Management and / or Design Build experience

·Lean Construction experience or certification
