Intermediate Embedded Digital Engineer Jobs

Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Embedded Platforms: Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM, AVR, PIC) and embedded development boards (e.g., Raspberry Pi, Arduino).

Communication Protocols: Strong understanding and practical experience with communication protocols commonly used in embedded systems.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical challenges, propose innovative solutions, and troubleshoot issues efficiently.

Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.

Hardware Integration: Work closely with the hardware engineering team to integrate and optimize embedded systems with custom-designed electronics and sensors.

Supporting Engineering Design Manager in developing the skills of the design and test team, and liaising with customers to define specifications.

Meeting requirements of the product development process - delivering to deadlines.

Full software development cycle experience

Design and development of firmware for new products

Supporting Design Engineers in development of the product designs.

Embedded/firmware design and development in C or C++

Additional Skills and experience that will be useful:

C, C++ programming and debugging skills

Real-Time Operating Systems, Embedded Linux, FreeRTOS and Device Driver experience essential

Knowledge of digital hardware (SoC, x86, ARM microprocessor and its peripherals, FPGA, DSP etc.)

Knowledge of video standards H.264, MPEG2, HEVC, JPEG-XS, ST2110 and their applications

Knowledge of Cloud Computing (AWS etc.)
