Intake Social Worker Jobs in Manitoba

Computer skills required; ability to manage electronic recording, workload and meet submission timelines.

Able to manage and prioritize patient caseload in a busy acute care setting.

Experience in the acute and/or sub-acute sector system, patient flow and discharge planning is an asset and preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of the acute, sub-acute and community sector. Knowledge of community resources an asset.

Demonstrated organizational skills to set clinical and non-clinical priorities in a fast paced environment.

Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of residential and transitional housing, mental health care facilities and community support systems, service and agencies

Excellent verbal and writing communication skills

Experience in working with diverse, marginalized and street involved pregnant teens and young mothers.

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of infant mental health, brief treatment approaches with trauma informed approaches, Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction an asset

Ontario Human Rights Code, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005,

Clinical case-management and financial literacy knowledge

Liaise with professional and community staff to provide support services in line with the case management plan.

Poverty reduction service delivery knowledge and experience

Minimum 3 years related clinical experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Provide clients with basic financial literacy and budgeting supports through poverty reduction methodologies
