Salary Will Be Commensurate With Qualifications And Experience

Demonstrable ability to work to milestones and manage deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Demonstrable experience to design, machine and assemble components of experimental apparatuses.

Experience implementing data analysis and/or acquisition solutions utilizing custom C/C++, Python, Labview, or equivalent code bases.

Experimental nuclear, condensed matter, plasma, or particle physics;

Industrial experience in troubleshooting, designing and programming electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical control systems will be considered an asset.

Experience in the area of PLC programming, troubleshooting and repair.

Knowledge of CNC equipment and related controls.

Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

Diagnose, service, calibrate and repair all production, non-production and test equipment and perform preventive and predictive maintenance.

Demonstrated strong analytical abilities and organizational skills

Identifies user requirements/problems and recommends possible solutions

Maintains a current knowledge of new developments in technology, safety, quality, and regulations by attending conferences, seminars, and reviewing technical papers

Completion of recognized post secondary technologist diploma program in an appropriate electronics engineering technology, or equivalent education.

Certified or eligible for certification, at the technologist level, by the Applied Sciences Technologists and Technicians of British Columbia.

Two (2) years directly related relevant experience.

Experience in reading engineering drawings

Experience in troubleshooting equipment issues with electrical and instrumentation

Experience using a computer for record keeping and documentation

Ability to communicate effectively and constructively, as well as good verbal and written English skills.
