Applicants must have a master’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution.

Applicants must also be familiar with relevant computer applications.

Experience with a learning management system such as Canvas preferred.

Experience in delivering an integrated skills curriculum.

Above average computer ability required as well as online teaching experience.

Bachelor’s Degree with a TESL / ATESL certification required.

Minimum one year teaching experience in ESL / EFL at the adult level.

Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.

A post-secondary degree or diploma in art and experience teaching art at the post-secondary level will be considered assets

You are professionally active in the field of art for a minimum of 48 months (4 years)

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Provide instruction in reading comprehension, vocabulary, creative writing, academic writing and novel study skills.

Facilitate interactive and collaborative online learning experiences that promote student engagement and participation.

Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Proven experience in teaching ELA/ESL to K12 students, preferably in an online or blended learning environment.

Strong knowledge of English language arts curriculum standards and effective instructional strategies.

Assist the Education Manager with the following tasks: developing programs and teaching tools, creating, and maintaining educational displays and learning centers.

Keep the Education Manager informed of all aspects of programs and feedback.

Support the Education manager in building and maintaining partnerships with the park community, teachers, educational institutions, governmental agencies, and community groups.

Take direction from and provide advice to the Education manager, as it relates to the efficient implementation of the programs.

Assist the Education Manager with the planning, development, and facilitation of programming for the community.

Instruct curriculum-based education programs for elementary, middle, and secondary students with an environmental focus.

Provide high quality education to students in the classroom, lab, online and clinical settings

Practicing Advanced Care Paramedic with a minimum of 3-5 years’ of work experience

Previous teaching experience an asset

Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated computer skills are essential. Basic level proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Review and revise course outlines and curriculum

Knowledge of settlement issues and familiarity with educational resources for newcomers to Canada.

Excellent computer skills: MS office, Internet, and knowledge of on-line teaching technologies and resources.

Participate in regular supervisory sessions with the Manager of English Language Services.

Bachelor’s Degree(s) in Teaching, Adult Education or Social Science.

2 + years of experience in teaching English as a Second Language and implementing PBLA.

Experience using technology and delivering online classes and hybrid models effectively.
