3-5 years of Canadian experience working in a public accounting firm with a tax specialization

Extensive experience and understanding of Canadian corporate and personal tax returns

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of Caseware/Caseview and Tax Preparation

Accurately prepare advanced corporate, personal, and trust tax returns and necessary working

Prepares memoranda and relevant reports for senior management’s review.

Create a positive team member experience.

Understanding and experience with Canadian tax compliance and accounting for income taxes.

Experience with transfer pricing and international tax treaty interpretation.

Experience with cross-border withholding taxes and application for waiver.

Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment.

Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

Centre of excellence for product and depository knowledge within Asset Servicing

VBA, SQL or Python skills are preferred

Broadridge experience is nice to have

Experience conducting Canadian tax research and due diligence research on equity and incentive compensation matters, including:

Other incentive and retirement benefits

Experience with employer cross border tax considerations and providing guidance to clients in this area

U.S. experience with the taxation of incentive and deferred compensation an asset

Strong written and verbal communications skills

5+ years' experience working in Capital Markets and solid knowledge of Fixed Income is required

Secure, control and enhance the process for the regular upgrades and security requirements set up

Experience in ION/MMI or equivalent fixed income trading applications

8+ years of BA experience, IT industry experience preferred

Knowledge of SQL is an asset

Experience in settlement systems such as Broadridge

Asset management or insurance audit experience is a major advantage.

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

In-charge of/completing the audit file from planning through to completion;

Preparing detailed audit work of various investment structures (private equity funds, hedge funds etc); or (re)insurance entities;

Performing a first review of the financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS;

Researching accounting and regulatory issues;
