Highway Driver Jobs

Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset 

Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required 

Maintain Ontario Provincial Highways year-round, including assisting with Labourer duties (pothole repair, guardrail repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.) 

Work outside in all weather conditions 

Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks 

Must possess a valid AZ or DZ driver’s license with air endorsement 

Understand and comply with the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) standards for assigned base maintenance facility and other facilities as needed.

Actively seek increased responsibilities and take initiative.

Minimum of one year of class 1 driving experience

Minimum 2 years of Class 1 Commercial long haul experience

Must have valid Class One Driver License

Clean Drivers Abstract and CVOR preferred (no moving violations permitted. Ie Recent & multiple speeding)

Less than 5 demerits on your license

Must be living in the Edmonton Area

Commercial/project budgetary management (supported by extended Project Sponsor/Project Assurance team)

Client/stakeholder management and business development including contribution to strategic growth/recruiting

Certification as a P.Eng. (PEO)

Minimum 7 years of experience in Road/Transportation design (serving as Lead or PM)

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with clients and staff in a team environment

Excellent oral and written English communication skills

Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training

Competitive wages depending on experience and equipment versatility from $32 to $36

$135 LOA for remote workers (no camps)

Shift in and Shift Out Allowance for remote workers up to a maximum of $400 each way

Company provided transportation to some remote locations

Preference to those with experience operating other heavy-duty equipment
