Overview:

A Health Visitor is a qualified nurse or midwife who has undertaken additional training to provide health promotion and support to families with young children. Health Visitors work with families to promote health and wellbeing, provide advice and support on parenting, and identify any health or social care needs. They also provide advice and support to other professionals, such as GPs and social workers.

How To Become an Health Visitor:

To become a Health Visitor, you must first complete a nursing or midwifery degree. After this, you must complete a Health Visiting qualification, which is usually a postgraduate diploma or masters degree. This qualification will provide you with the knowledge and skills to work as a Health Visitor.
