Participate in incident investigations with site management.

Champion the client’s expectations for specific onsite safety requirements.

5+ years of experience in an underground Potash mine preferred

Have an in-depth working knowledge of Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and Saskatchewan Mining Regulations

Lead by example and demonstrate a positive safety attitude.

Assist in the development of Job Hazard Analysis, development of safe work practices and safe job procedures specific to the project.

Setting appropriate safety standards and implementation of these safety standards

Conducting of corporate, site-specific, and tailgate safety training for employees

Performing daily site safety inspections to assure the safety of employees, visitors, and clients

Informing the HSE Director as to the effectiveness of the Health and Safety Program and any necessary changes

Advanced Security Training is mandatory

Must have BC Class 5 Drivers License

Manages all applicable regulatory documentation in accordance with good practices and regulatory agency requirements

Provides guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with H2O HS&E requirements

Manages the disposal of regulated waste across Canadian Operations

Tracks, analyzes, and reports HS&E metrics to the department managers to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

Collaborates with department managers and supervisors to create safe work practices, environments, and behaviors

Carries out other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Develop and maintain general knowledge of existing and proposed regulations. Provide technical and compliance guidance to employees and management.

Knowledge of EHS Management Systems (e.g. ISO:14001, ISO:45001).

Post-secondary education (4-year bachelor's degree OR a 2-year certificate in occupational health and safety OR equivalent).

Minimum 4 years experience in an EHS related role.

Previous experience in the general construction or nuclear industry is an asset.

CRSP certification or (R)CSO certification is an asset.

The responsibilities of the Security Officer position are as follows:

Knowledge of applicable OH&S and environmental legislation.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and internal

Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills,

Up to one (1) year experience in a related industry experience in

Knowledge of construction processes and terminology (e.g., blueprints

Assist site management in understanding and correcting compliance deficiencies through the implementation of effective and sustainable actions

Prepare and produce reports and statistics for management

Post-Secondary Education in a related field with over 3 years experience in an operations position

Partner with our customers in support of Toromont Cat's and individual site safety requirements

Improvement mindset with sound working knowledge of the Ontario OH&S Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act

Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) certification would be an asset
