Grey Roots Kids Camp Assistant Jobs

Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business Administration or Sport Management preferred

Superior organization and time management

Manage strategy and content development for all 2023 Grey Cup Festival social media platforms, including Grey Cup Festival website

1-2 years of experience in sport business with a sport property or event organization

Experience using Wordpress and writing content for websites and other online platforms (e.g.app)

Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook) and shared drives (Sharepoint)

Project Management skills are recommended.

Manage information technology requirements for all events.

Manage F&B requirements for all events.

Assist with Signage Program Management.

Manage event budget and finance in key assigned areas.

A degree or Diploma in Sports Administration or Event Management is an asset.

HR experience: Recruits, trains, directs, supervises, mentors and evaluates staff and volunteers

Program Development: Implements, oversees and evaluates developmentally appropriate programming, updates manuals.

Administration: Assists with camper recruitment, registration process, camper reports and evaluations.

Connecting, outreach, and liaising: Participates in community outreach, liaises with partner and referring organizations and camper families

Is a positive role model and leader

Provides leadership to the organization’s Holiday Sharing program

PMBIA Certified or achieved certification prior to camp start. Confident off road/trail bike rider (with own bike) - MANDATORY

CPR and first aid certifications preferred (training will be provided during training).

Knowledge of BMR trail networks and resort an asset.

Participates in other related Grey Roots activities assigned by the Engagement and Education Manager.

Knowledge of Ontario education curriculum is an asset.

Excellent public speaking skills, creativity and research skills; ability to engage with visitors of all ages.

Friendly, outgoing, courteous personality; basic knowledge of Grey County history an asset

Previous customer services experience and training is an asset
