1-2 Years of Maintenance Experience

Greenhouse maintenance experience would be considered an asset.

Daily inspections and maintaining log sheets

Performing general service and maintenance; key contact for technical issues

Understanding and using the greenhouse controls platform

Managing spare part inventory and supplies

University Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, preferably with a specialization in plant science or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated experience in a similar role.

Knowledge of experimental design. Must be able to understand the needs and demands of the different clients.

Commitment to client service through excellence in interpersonal and communication skills and service delivery.

Knowledge and training in the safe handling and use of pesticides, fungicides and growth regulator chemicals. WHMIS and safety lab training.

Excellent communication skills in both official languages.

Experience working in a kitchen is an asset

Clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots or pans and utensils

Restocking cleaned dishes and utensils

Ensure dishes are cleaned and stored in a timely fashion

Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas

Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and dish area
