Geographic Information System Technician Jobs in Ontario

Fulfilling knowledge requirements set out by transport Canada in order to safely operate a UAV.

Publish services as required to ArcGIS Server for consumption by web applications and remote clients.

Knowledge of Geocortex and Geocortex Workflow software required to develop web applications and support existing applications.

Extensive skills with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop software for map creation and data analysis

Maintains knowledge of civil design and AutoCAD software.

Knowledge of Microsoft SQL server and administration tools. Basic knowledge of other database platforms (MySQL, PostGres).

2.Develop, update and maintain GIS standard work procedures while identifying and recommending opportunities for process improvements.

8.Interact with outside consultants and municipalities in order that GIS data is shared and interpreted successfully.

11.Provide technical support, guidance and training to users of the GIS

12.Install and configure GIS software and apply associated upgrades.

13.Troubleshoot software problems, liaise with vendor for resolution and / or escalate to GIS Analyst as necessary.

14.Assist in the development of standards and procedures for the integration of data to the GIS.

Advanced knowledge of relational databases, working experience with multidimensional databases

Minimum 3 years of experience in business intelligence and data warehousing application development in an IT or

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft SQL Server 2012, including Reporting Services, Analysis

Working knowledge of Visual Studio 2010/2012 (C# or VB.NET), ASP.NET

Ability to meet, prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous tasks and deadlines
