Forest Nursery Worker Jobs

Ability to provide 2 x educational based references

Confident and experienced in working with small groups of children

Excellent numeracy and literacy knowledge

Working within the nursery setting of the school to work with small groups of children and may require some one-to-one work

Recording evidence of key children meeting targets

Using own initiative to take the lead and to change activity plans if needed

Collaborating with Retail Manager on current trends, and outdoor visual displays

Minimum of 1 year of experience in landscaping, nursery or garden centre

Passion for plants and strong plant knowledge

Team player and excellent problem-solving skills

Ensure maintenance of all trees, shrubs and perennials

Design and review forest inventories and sampling protocols for GHG offset projects and forest management plans.

Design workflow and database management tools and frameworks

Strong problem-solving skills and experience applying creative approaches to difficult problems.

Familiarity with typical Canadian and/or US silvicultural and forest management practices.

Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work remotely and collaborate with a remote team.

Experience with geospatial and remote sensing analyses and datasets.
